A 30-year-old former City of Ottawa lifeguard, Scouts Canada volunteer and swim coach is appearing in court today for a full-day bail hearing into 18 sexual assault-related charges.
Scott Stanley was arrested and charged Thursday and made a quick court appearance Friday for incidents police say happened in 2012 and 2013 while Stanley was a Scouts leader.

He is in court Monday after spending the weekend in jail on six counts each of sexual assault and sexual interference with a person under 16, three counts of invitation to sexual touching for a person under 16, two counts of telecommunication with a person under 16 for a specific criminal offence and one count of telecommunication with a person under 14 for a specific criminal offence.
